It was the week of our trip, which always feels a little like Christmas…. there’s always too much to wrap up at work, too many purchases to make, and even though you’re going to enjoy the event, it’s hard to feel like it’s going to be worth it.
But, maybe that’s just me. I’m a bit of a procrastinator, and I never know what the plans are for the trip. Well, I don’t pay attention. I just show up.
Auntie, on the other hand, is meticulous, thoughtful and organized. His outfits are always on point, hair is neat, and travel plans are the perfect combination of organized mixed with down time.
This is kind of why we travel well together! I leave water all over the floor and he cleans it up. I get excited by the travel plans as if they were magic and he ensures I don’t end up arrested at customs. It’s part of what makes us Patrick and Auntie.
