Singapore Day 2

As mentioned before, Singapore is an interesting city. After staying in quaint, homey hotels in historic cities, it’s been a bit of a culture shock staying in a business-like hotel in the middle of a mall. We slept in and had a long buffet breakfast, followed by the pool and gym time. Around 2:15 we rolled off our reclining chairs and to our room to get ready for the long journey ahead.

After dodging traffic and finding an open restaurant, we had a 4pm lunch and then off to the Singapore National Gallery.

Quick lunch and a beer (hey, it was the last day of vacation!)

The National Gallery was really beautiful, located in the Supreme Court and City Hall buildings. The art portrayed the history of the region, and it piqued our interest to learn more about how Singapore became such a large business hub.

Now we’re at the airport, a tad early, having a drink in the Cactus Garden, following the butterfly exhibit (this is quite the airport!). A wrap-up of the trip is coming soon!

Now we are awaiting our rescheduled 9:10 pm flight. We’ll arrive in San Francisco an hour an 20 minutes before we left!

XO from Singapore!
